How it all started...

With so many hyped-up advertisements claiming 200% to 300% profit trading options, I naturally got curious. In fact, that was how I got to learn about options trading. After a few seminars that cost me a few thousand dollars, I realized that to profit from trading options is not as easy as the gurus claimed. Do you seriously believe that you can become an expert making 200% profit trading options after a 4-day seminar?

Many courses and seminars out there try to sell you more expensive software and more advanced courses after you attended their basic course. All these extras, which are supposed to help you make money, can easily double the amount you paid for the course at the first place. What hit me the hardest was the fact that most of the materials covered can be easily founded in books and on the internet! After thousands of dollars and many hours spent on seminars and books, I was no where near the advertised profits!

The problem is many of these options gurus teach speculative, high risk options strategies that will achieve super-high profits, when they are successful. Examples of 250% or 300% profit on one single trade are true but the probability of that happening is as low as picking up a $100 bill on a busy street! We started out as a performance-based advisory service where we charged our subscribers based on the percentage profit we made each month. If for any month we were not profitable, our subscribers didn't have to pay us a cent.

As our subscriber base increased, it became a logistical nightmare to bill our subscribers a different amount each month. We also had to be careful not to bill newer subscribers who joined us after we initiated some trades and therefore didn't participate in the trades - no one likes being billed for nothing.

We decided we could make better use of the time and we moved on to charge our subscribers a fixed rate every month. There were some adjustments to the rates along the way but generally we charged like most advisory services out there, until now.
